The price of the new Nokia Lumia 1020 is $299 with a two-year contract. Consumers interested in purchasing the device ahead of its availability in the market may place a pre-order through the website of AT&T Inc (NYSE:T) starting July 16.

The Finnish smartphone manufacturer emphasized the uniqueness of the Lumia 1020 smartphone’s camera features. The company said, “Pictures will mean more to you. You’ll see things with the device that you’ve never seen before. You’ll get closer than you’ve ever been before. It’s the next chapter in smartphone photography.”

The Nokia Lumia 1020 features include a 4.5-inch AMOLED PureMotion HD+ display with 1,280 x 768 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is integrated with a 1.5 GHz, dual core Snapdragon S4 processor from Qualcomm, Inc (NASDAQ:QCOM), and highly sensitive Gorilla Glass 3 with the ability to detect touch from finger nails or even if the user is wearing gloves. The device is powered by Windows Phone 8 operating system.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available in three colors such as black, white and yellow. According to Elop, the smartphone will be available in other markets worldwide in China and Europe this quarter. Telefonica in Europe and Latin America will sell exclusive variants of the Nokia Lumia 1020.
