Analysts expected Lazard Ltd (NYSE:LAZ) to report strong earnings results for the second quarter. The average consensus EPS estimate for the company was $0.33, higher than its $0.25 EPS in the same period last year. Its revenue is expected to increase by 3 percent from $436 million a year ago to $449.91 million.
Lazard is projected to deliver $1.65 earnings per share and$1.87 billion revenue for the entire 2013. Last year, the company generated $1.44 EPS and $1.91 billion revenue.
Legg Mason Inc (LM)
Zacks Equity Research projected that Legg Mason Inc (NYSE:LM)‘s earnings results for its fiscal first quarter 2014 will be weak. The research firm downgraded its rating for the company to underperform and anticipated that it will post $0.80 earnings per share. For its full fiscal 2014, Legg Mason is expected to post $3.42 earnings per share.

Analysts estimated that it generate $0.80 earnings per share, higher than its $0.73 EPS in the same period a year ago. Its revenue is projected to be around $1.28 billion, 6.6 percent higher than its $1.20 billion revenue last year. For the full fiscal 2013, its estimated EPS and revenue were around $3.12 and $4.97 billion, respectively.
Mead Johnson Nutrition CO (MJN)
