More major companies will report their earnings on Thursday. We’re expecting the latest quarterly results from Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE:AVP), American International Group Inc (NYSE:AIG) and Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI).

Avon Products, Inc. (AVP)

Analysts believe that Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE:AVP) will report earnings of 25 or 26 cents on revenue of $2.6 billion for the second quarter. Full-year earnings are expected to be $1.15 or $1.16 per share on full-year revenue of $10.6 billion.

Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE:AVP) smashed the expectations of Wall Street with its first quarter report. The previous quarter was also a positive surprise, although the three quarters before that were negative surprises. According to Zacks, the average analyst earnings estimate for Avon Products during the second quarter has risen by a penny within the last 30 days.

American International Group Inc (AIG)

Analysts are projecting that American International Group Inc (NYSE:AIG) will report earnings of 85 or 86 cents per share on revenue of $8.6 billion. Full-year earnings are projected to be between $3.82 per share and $3.91 per share on full-year revenue of about $34.6 billion.

Four of American International Group Inc (NYSE:AIG)’s last five earnings reports have been significant positive surprises. According to Zacks, the average analyst estimate rose from 84 cents 90 days ago to 88 cents 30 days ago but then dropped to 85 cents a week ago.

Activision Blizzard, Inc. (ATVI)

Analysts believe that Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI) will report earnings of 6 cents per share on revenue of $608 million for the second quarter of the year. Full-year earnings are expected to be 81 cents per share on full-year revenue of $4.3 billion.

The company has performed well recently, coming out ahead of expectations in each of the last five quarters. Zacks shows that within the last week, the average analyst estimate has risen from 4 cents to 6 cents per share for the company’s second quarter.

Late last week it was revealed that Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI) bought 429 million shares from Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) (OTCMKTS:VIVHY) for $8.17 billion, thus acquiring a controlling stake in the company.
