“Everyone was just like, ‘Yep.’ Not surprised at all. It was like the weight had been lifted off our shoulders, that a decision had finally been made,” the former employee told Business Insider.

In general, most of the “layoffs are sad” where there is security in place to guide the people out of the office so that the fired employees don’t create a scene. But in Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA)’s case it was opposite, the former employee told.

“Music was being played loudly, and people were ripping up Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) hoodies and T-shirts. Anything that was Zynga was completely left there. The sentiment felt positive.”

The Draw Something developer, which Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) acquired in March 2012 for more than $200 million and later renamed as Zynga New York, has no projects in the pipeline after the completion of Draw Something 2, the former employee told.

One of the employees connected with Draw Something told that they regret nothing, not even their acquisition by Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA). In fact, the acquisition gave them a chance to take the game to a much higher level. The experience had been unique and great, and “I think a lot of these people will be meeting up again in the future,” the employee said.

One of the employees, who were among those that were fired by Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), shared his experience on Reddit.

The employee said that he/she was fired yesterday along with 520 other employees, and is willing to share anything about the company that is hated by all game lovers. The employee told that he/she will not disclose the identity as he/she is looking for another job.  Calling himself former_zyngite, the employee told, he/she is ready to talk about anything including projects worked, about games, processes, culture, infamous game copying etc.

On the culture, the employee said it was weird, “At least for me.” And the weirdest of all things were the obsession with dogs. The employee told that the company encourages bringing dogs to work. The employee compared the dog obsession to a “crying baby on an airplane. It sucks, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

On the perks given by the game maker, the employee told they get a lot of perks like gym, three free meals a day, happy hour every Friday with free booze and unlimited vacation days. The employee said among all the perks a 15 minute free massage once a week, he enjoyed the most.
