Muslim Brotherhood Tweet Boasts of Egyptian Tablet to Challenge Apple

Updated on

Firstly, a little disclaimer. I’ve seen the pyramids at Giza and they are truly awe inspiring. The industriousness of the Egyptian people (or at least their slaves) is not on trial here. There will be plenty of trials as long as Egypt’s voters continue to allow the cult that is the Muslim Brotherhood to run their country. On occasion, the Muslim Brotherhood has made the Mutaween of the Saudi Arabian Committee For the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (CPVPV) look progressive as they arrest unrelated males and females caught socializing, anyone engaged in homosexual behavior or prostitution; or when they enforce Islamic dress-codes, and store closures during the prayer time. To say nothing of forcing schoolgirls without a male guardian or proper dress to return to a burning building.

Muslim Brotherhood Tweet Boasts of Egyptian Tablet to Challenge Apple

But that’s to be expected from a cult founded by a great admirer of Adolf Hitler in the late 1920’s. A cult that hasn’t toned down their rhetoric much. This was evidenced by the suggestion that they have competition for Apple on the horizon with Egypt’s new tablet computer. When I first read the Muslim Brotherhood’s tweet I could only assume that recently arrested comedian Bassem Youssef had foolishly hacked the Muslim Brotherhood’s Twitter account. I say foolishly because the Muslim Brotherhood is operating (in the words of The Daily Caller) “a carefully controlled network of torture chambers designed to violently dehumanize opponents of Egyptian “President” Mohammed Morsi.”

I was wrong. I visited the Muslim Brotherhood’s official English language website, IKHANWEB to read more about this “Egyptian iPad.”

Firstly, if this tablet is at all similar to the layout of the Muslim Brotherhood’s website, I expect a “tablet”.  A tablet reminiscent of how I learned animal sounds in the 1970’s. I expect this tablet will teach children how to say “Death to The Jews” or “Death to America” once you pull a string like a Fisher-Price toy.

“The Ministry has received foreign orders from several countries like Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for great quantities of the first Egyptian educational portable device.”

When did Saudi Arabia begin caring about education? To educate would be in stark opposition to the Saud family and a threat to Wahabism.

“There are also many domestic orders, from various establishments like the Pharmacists Syndicate, the Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) and the Ministry of Communications, as well as orders for the manufacture of a million units for the Ministry of Education, for use by schoolchildren, to free them from heavy school bags and school books that strain students’ shoulders. The device allows easy updates to information in accordance with required educational strategies. This should help simplify the development of education and syllabuses.”

To free school children from heavy school bags and school books that strain students’ shoulders? Following the Muslim Brotherhood’s ascension to power Egypt has seen the opening of hundreds of new Madrasas where the only book taught is the Koran. When did the Koran take to weighing so much? If the Muslim Brotherhood has it’s way the only reason kids will be carrying heavy school bags is that they will be filled with explosives and metal to act as shrapnel in order to (from their original charter) “rain death on the non-believer.”

Apple, I think you’re safe for now, at least from competition.
