The BlackBerry Z10 may arrive first on AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)’s network in the U.S. Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB)’s new device will also be carried on Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) and T-Mobile’s networks in the U.S., although it may be delayed with those carriers. When the new device launches, Canaccord Genuity analysts predict Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) will reclaim high-end smartphone market share.

Research In Motion Ltd (BBRY) BB Z10 Could Arrive On AT&T First

Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) has announced that it won’t support the BlackBerry Z10 and instead would only offer the BlackBerry Q10, which has the QWERTY keyboard BlackBerry devices are known for.

In the past, T-Mobile was expected to be one of the first carriers in the U.S. to support the BlackBerry Z10, although N4BB now reports that it looks like AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) may be the first carrier to support the device after moving up its plans. Rumors now say the BlackBerry Z10 could be available on the AT&T network on March 15, the day after the unveiling of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930)’s new Galaxy S4.

Mobile subscribers on the Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) network will likely have to wait the longest of all because the company is known for putting devices through some major testing before offering them up. That could mean Verizon’s BlackBerry Z10 won’t be available until April.

Of course after the rollout of the BlackBerry Z10 is complete, then Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) will begin rolling out its BlackBerry Q10. That device has not yet gone up for sale in any country around the world.

Shares of Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) stock have jumped 6 percent in afternoon trades at the NASDAQ.
