Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V) Lumia 920 variant Lumia 928 is arriving to Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) in US next month, The Verge reported.

The Verge reported that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is all set to market Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) (BIT:NOK1V) (HEL:NOK1V)’s upcoming Verizon flagship by launching its Lumia 928 handset in April.

The site’s sources say that the Lumia 928 will ditch the polycarbonate design found on recent Nokia Lumia models like the 920 in favour of an aluminium construction.

The upgrades include a switch to an aluminum body, a xenon and LED flash for the 8MP PureView camera, and the comes in thinner and lighter than the relatively bulky 920.

Similar to that of Lumia 720, 928 has a squared look and is less curved than 920 and ligher in weight with its thinnest part is reported at 10.2mm (for comparison, an iPhone 5 is 7.6mm), and curves to get slightly thicker

In terms of straight-up specs, the Lumia 928 is expected to feature a 4.5-inch OLED display, 8-megapixel PureView camera with a xenon and LED flash pairing and support for simultaneous voice and LTE

The processor and RAM will remain the same as that of Lumia 920 and  Lumia 928 which means that the new model will pack a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB RAM.

Once arrived, the Lumia 928 will be the second Nokia Lumia model on Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), marking the company’s first flagship Lumia for the American broadband and telecommunications company.
