“The Training of Youth Corp Members is part of Intel’s Corporate Social Responsiveness to the educational needs of our society. The week long free training strives to equip youth corps members with necessary skills to cope in the 21st Century workplace taking them through an intense technology-entrepreneurship scheme,” Osagie Ogunbar(Corporate Affairs of Intel West Africa) explained.

Ogunbar added that this program was designed to help those who are unemployed and to promote businesses in Nigeria. He also claimed that information and Communication technology is key to a growing industry. It’s important for graduates to learn the necessary skills for the ever-changing market and this program offers a small step towards that direction.

It’s rumored that the first Intel-based tablet device will  be introduced later on this month at the Mobile World Congress event. The device is called Asus Fonepad and it will be in the same price range as Nexus 7. Leaked images show that the device features an aluminum body, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) badge on the back, Intel Atom processor, Imagination PowerVR graphics, 1.2 inch megapixel camera, and 1GB of RAM. It also features 1,280 x IPS touch screen. The Fonepad is comparable to the MeMO pad, only it’s a more expensive version.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)’s foray into the tablet industry may prove to be a successful one if they play their cards right.  Their main concern right now is to either find a way to make processors valuable to the mobile technology market or perhaps find a new avenue to fill. It’s important for all technology companies to adapt to market changes.
