Pebble is a highly customizable watch that allows you to download new watch faces, use sports and fitness apps and get notifications from your smartphone. Pebble connects to your iPhone and Android smartphones using Bluetooth, and alerts you, via a silent vibration, of incoming calls, emails and messages. Imagine changing a watch face every day to the one that suits your mood, or outfit. Pebble can display alerts from incoming caller ID, email, calendar, Facebook messages, Twitter and weather apps.

Pebble is funded through Kickstarter project. The company needed $100,000, a few months, back but ended up collecting over $10 million. More than 68,000 backers are up for this smartwatch. The project was successfully funded on May 18, 2012.

The watch is powered by a 144 x 168 black and white e-paper display, with built-in Bluetooth, 4 buttons, vibrating motor and a 3 axis accelerometer. The apps are distributed via Pebble watchapp store. The pebble watch is also water resistant, and is charged by a special USB cable that can be connected to any computer or wall USB charger. The rechargeable battery keeps Pebble going for 7+ days.
