Facebook Inc (FB) Introduces More Timeline Changes

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is paving the way for an improved social media experience. The website just rolled out more timeline changes, this time with a focus on interactions and messages with friends.

We already know that Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has plans to change their timeline format into one column in order to cut that cluttered look. The new design will make it easier for users to find their favorite pages, but should also make it easier for people to communicate with one another.

Despite all the negative feedback Facebook has been receiving for sometime now, the company is still rolling out improvements for users. The newest changes will display wall posts, friendship interactions, and status updates on the left side of the column.  This new design happens to look  like the new timeline that was rolled out for some users late last year.  Right now, these new changes are exclusive to users in New Zealand but they should stat to roll out elsewhere in the near future.

TNW’s Owen Williams recently shared screenshots of the new design. One of the most visible changes is the timeline header which no longer has linked boxes for “Friends”, “Photos”, “Maps”, and “Likes”. The aforementioned are now in a listed in a menu instead. The “About” page has also been revised a little to include the basics such as employment and contact information.

There is also a “More” tab which displays the user’s interests like movies, music, tv shows, and more. This tab also features maps and activities from third party websites such as Instagram, Foursquare, Flipboard, and Spotify.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has been testing this new design since last fall.

TNW reported that a representative for Facebook told them that there are no more details to share regarding the matter.
