Instagram’s most popular user reportedly said she might dump it for a competing app. Kim Kardashian has 5.7 million followers on the app, and she raised concerns when the app unveiled its new terms of service, which will become effective next month.

The photo-sharing app included wording that sounded like users’ photos would be used for advertisements without them being compensated. Instagram’s CEO issued an apology the next day, saying it had been misinterpreted. However a short while after that apology, Kardashian posted on her Twitter feed, “I really loved Instagram :( I need to review this new policy. I don’t think it’s fair.”

A report on TMZ today said Kardashian has told her friends that she might shut down her Instagram account completely. She reportedly told them that she intends to make her final decision after Instagram releases its revised terms of service.

Kadashian’s sister Khloe also tweeted her concerns about Instagram. She said, “Wow…I just read over Instagram’s new policy…so sad, looks like I might be deleting my Instagram after Jan. 16. I hope something changes.”

Business Insider points out that if Kim Kardashian leaves Instagram, then it’s likely her family will as well, and Khloe, Kylie, Kendall, and Rob are all in the top 10 most popular users of the site. This would be a major blow to the photo sharing app, which is operated by Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB).

After Kardashian the next most popular user is Justin Bieber, but he trails her by more than a million followers. President Obama has fewer than 2 million followers on the app.
