In just a few days we will be saying good bye to 2012 and welcoming  in the year 2013. Social media has crept into our lives and many of us interact extensively through Facebook, be it out work lives or personal lives. It would be interesting to see the biggest moments of 2012 through Facebook’s eyes. A new offering from Facebook gives users the chance to see the 20 biggest moments of the year, all collated together in one beautiful timeline. Facebook determines the biggest stories/events that have taken place in your life in the last year and it displays them beautifully in  one place. Let’s take a look at how to see your own 2012 Year in Review by Facebook.

Step 1: Login to your Facebook account from a web browser (this feature is not supported on mobile devices at this time).

Step 2: Navigate to your profile page by clicking on your name. This will open your Timeline.

Step 3: On the right hand side at the top, you can see “See your 2012 Year in Review”. Click on that link (Here’s a direct link).

Step 4: Facebook will create a Timeline based on your biggest moments in 2012. You can see a large background which changes images that are pulled from your taggged photos and profile photos. Below that, you can browse through the Timeline.

You will see that Facebook will automatically determine the biggest stories from your profile. Some of the stories are relevant and important but you might also find some stories that you can live without. As Facebook automatically determines all the stories, there’s no way to tweak the suggestions and you have to live with what Mark Zuckerberg thinks are biggest stories for you!
