Apple’s new iMac has now been to the company’s online storefront today after staying for 12 hours at physical Apple Stores and authorized Apple retailers.

The all new 21.5 iMac model is set ship within 3 business days, whereas the 27 inch model is set to ship with in 2-3 weeks. Both the models are, nonetheless, available on Apple’s digital storefront for purchases, starting at a price of $1,299.

“Redesigned from the inside out, the new iMac packs high performance technology into an aluminum and glass enclosure that measures just 5 mm thin at its edge and features a reengineered display that reduces reflection by 75 percent,” Apple says in the announcement.

Both of these models are much thinner in width, with a 5mm edge altogether and are now fitted with a brand new Fusion Drive that improves speed and capacity by combining flash storage and hard drive in one whole hybrid hard drive. The new engineered display, as claimed by Apple, cuts the over all reflection down by 75% , as compared to the last-generation displays.

Fusion Drive, being the most innovative addition in the redesigned iMacs, combines 128GB of flash storage with a standard platter-based hard drive with a storage range of 1TB to 3TB.

The non-configured 21.5 inch iMac is now engineered with a 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, a one TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 M 512 MB graphics card.

Whereas, the entry level 27-inch model comes with a 2.9GHz Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB graphics card.

Both the entry level models, iMac 21.5 inch and 27-inch are available for $1299 and $1799 respectively. However, you can get a bump up 2.9 Ghz and GT 650M graphics card for $1499 for 21.5 inch model and a 3.2GHz i5 processor with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1GB card for $1799 for 27 inch model.

Also, the 21.5 inch build-to-order models are expected to ship within 7 to 10 days from today.
