Apple iPhone 5S To Be Released In Mid Of 2013 [REPORT]

It hasn’t even been a full six months since the iPhone 5 was released, but there are already rumors regarding the iPhone 5S.

According to unnamed sources close to Digitimes, “Apple is expected to introduce its next-generation iPad and iPhone series around the middle of 2013, which will boost demand for ICs, and in particular, communications related chips during the latter half of the first quarter, according to the observers. Component orders placed by Apple, which climbed to high levels prior to the iPhone 5 rollout, will rise again between March and April, the observers indicated.”

Prior to the next unveiling, it’s predicted that the first quarter of next year will be big. The observers said, “Meanwhile, backend service provider ASE will also enjoy brisk orders for communications ICs in the first quarter of 2013.”

At press time, there is no word on exactly what we can expect from the future generations of the iPhone or iPad. There was also no mention of the iPad Mini, although that could have been counted with the iPad. It would be quite interesting if both devices were released during the summer and it would be more interesting if they were released during the same time.

It’s good to think about the future of Apple but I think it’s a little to early to make guesses and rumors regarding products that are yet to be made. I’m hoping that we’ll end up hearing more about these products a month or two after the holidays. I think right now they should keep their focus on current Apple products, like the iPhone 5 and iPad with Retina Display. The Cupertino-based tech company has so much going for them right now and now they’re just enjoying the peak of their career, but I also think they’ve got a lot to look forward to.
