Today is the day Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) started shipping iPad Mini LTE tablets. Customers received an email on Tuesday morning from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), which stated that the iPad Mini LTE tablets are being shipped and should arrive by Friday November 16th.
The letter reads, “We’re happy to let you know the items below are on their way to you. We also included delivery estimates and tracking information next to your shipping address. Thank you for your time and for shopping with Apple – The Apple Store”
Both the black/slate and silver/white devices are shipping. Last week, the same customers receive an email from Apple, which stated that they would start shipping the devices within five business days. The iPad WiFi models launched last month and went on sale earlier last month. Apple has been having a hard time keeping up with the supply and demand of the iPad Mini. Their website sold out of iPad Minis shortly after the device went on sale.
I’ve been predicting for awhile now that this is going to be a huge quarter for Apple. With the iPad Mini, iPad 4, and iPhone 5, I think the 2012 holiday season could be Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s biggest to date. Naturally, the iPad Mini is predicted to be the top seller. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) already published their holiday gift guide and the iPad Mini is featured prominently on the front page. Other gift ideas featured in the guide include a multitude of accessories, such as high tech headphones, speaker systems, keyboard covers, games, and more.
At press time, we have no estimations of how many iPad Minis or iPad 4s will be sold this upcoming holiday season, although it’s safe to bet the 7 inch version will outsell the 10 inch version by a small margin at least.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has a lot going for them right now in terms of market dominance and sales.
