The interface of this application is very clean and lets you do the job quickly. There are two ways in which you can scan a QR code. The first method is to read the QR code from any file. Click on “From File” and then browse to the image file that has the QR code. It supports wide variety of formats such as JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF and many more. The decoded text appears at the bottom of the window. Click on “Save to file” to save the information as TXT file or click on “Copy to clipboard” to copy this information to the clipboard.
The second method to scan QR code is by clicking on “From screen”. This method is very useful if you don’t have the image file in your computer but the QR code is on some website or any other source. This means that you can scan any QR code that appears on the screen. After making the selection of the code, release your mouse and the selected area will be scanned for the QR code.
This is by far the easiest way to scan QR codes and then save the QR Code information to a file. What’s more, you don’t need any Android, iPhone, or any mobile device device for this purpose.
