The company’s chief executive officer, Tim Cook, said that China’s market is the second most important, right after the US market.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) certainly knows their market. This will be the sixth Apple retail location in mainland China. They currently have two stores in Beijing, and three in Shanghai. All six stores should see a significant amount of traffic when the iPhone 5 finally arrives in China.  The country’s government regulations have prevented Apple’s sixth generation smartphone from entering the country. Of course, that hasn’t stopped some consumers from purchasing the phone from grey market vendors for a super hefty price.

The demand for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) products in China has grown significantly higher than anyone expected, perhaps that is the reason why Apple is opening their third store in Beijing? It’s obvious that the company has some major plans to expand further, but it’s not going to happen overnight. The new Apple store is a sign of progress.

M.I.C. Gadget reported the news of Apple’s third Beijing store, and they posted many images of the construction site. It’s rumored that the store could be a large one with four stories. It’s also predicted to look like the Hauaihah Zhong Lu store, located in Shanghai.  The website also reported that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will give away free tee shirts (no purchase required) with the Apple logo on its grand opening day.
