It’s been a busy week for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and its consumers with the news of its new products. But, look for it took get even crazier with the pre-sales for the iPhone 5 on Friday.
Beginning at 12:01 PT, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will open up its online store doors for impatient customers ready to buy. For those on the east coast, plan to get up in the middle of the night to get your hands on this opportunity to preorder the coveted, yet slightly disappointing phone.
So what does this mean? For some crazy Apple fans, they could make it a late night for a Thirsty Thursday, or set their alarms and order the phones in their pajamas.
Just to save a few extra minutes, bookmark the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) online store ASAP.
Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) and Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) plan to take pre-orders in the dark. Sprint will be ready with Apple at 12:01 a.m. PT for both new and existing customers on its site.
If an online preorder isn’t your thing, customers will be able to buy the iPhone 5 at Sprint stores beginning September 21.
Because Verizon always looks to compete, it will jump out ahead of the crowd, and take preorders one minute earlier: on the dot at midnight.
As for AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), customers can join the party by either visiting the website for preorders on Friday, or stop by an AT&T store one week later. The company will be ready for orders at 12:01 a.m PT with almost everyone else.
Even the little guy wants to get in on the iPhone party. Cricket will enter the fray by offering the iPhone 5 on September 28 in “select Cricket markets.” Additional information has neither been provided for the preorder plans, nor stated which markets would have the iPhone 5 available.
Your best bet may be to visit the website as it gets closer to the launch date.
U.S. regional carrier, C-Spire, will carry the iPhone 5 starting on September 28. Similar to the Cricket announcement, additional details have not been provided regarding the launch’s timing.

And for patient consumers, they should great ready to stand in line at one of Apple’s retail stores, beginning on September 21. Starting at 8 a.m. nationwide, they can make the purchase in person.
In the past, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has allowed customers to reserve new iPhones or iPads via an Apple Store app on iOS devices. It hasn’t been confirmed whether this will be available for the iPhone 5.
