Apple Launching New iPad In China on July 20th

The third generation iPad will launch in China late next week. The official announcement came from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) on Tuesday morning. The new tablet will be available at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) stores and authorized resellers starting July 20th.  Customers can also make reservations the day before so they can pick up their new tablet between the hours of 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

China’s iPad 3 is expected be very similar to the iPads sold here in the U.S. and in other countries. The WiFi models start at $499 for the 16GB, $599 for the 32GB, and $699 for the 64GB. The WiFi/cellular combination models start at a higher price, $629 for 16GB,  $729 for 32GB, and $829 for 64GB.  For those who are looking for a bargain, Apple will offer iPad 2 for just $399.

The launch date for the third generation Apple tablet is about one week earlier that reports initially claimed. The iPad arrived in North America and other countries awhile back, so this mid-July date is considered a little late but people speculate that it’s because Apple was initially fighting Proview for the rights to use the iPad name but now that they lost the lawsuit, they’ve been forced to cough up $60 million.

The iPad 3, which is commonly referred as just the new iPad, is a revolutionary tablet that features Retina display, 5 megapixel iSight camera, 1080HD video recording capabilities,4G LTE, iLife, iWork, plus access to over 225,000 apps.

This tablet computer is currently available in many countries including Australia, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The iPad has gone from must-have impressive gadget to a useful tool for businesses and schools. It has not only changed the way many people use technology but it also changed the way their competitors think about business.  The iPad is probably one of the most important technology products that’s currently on the market.

There are just five Apple Inc. stores in mainland China, two are in Bejing and three are in Shanghai. Just last January when the company released their iPhone 4s in China, the crowds got a little out of hand and forced Apple to suspend sales for awhile.

Apple is an important company and when they deliver in-demand products such as the iPad, it’s not hard to see how much of an impact they have not only in the tech industry but also in the modern world. I have no doubt the iPad 3 will sell quickly in China.
