A French hacker named as Pod2g has tweeted that he is successful in ‘untetherdly’ jailbreaking iPad 3 and iPhone 4 running on version iOS 5.1.1 firmware.

With this tweet, Pod2g has indeed cleared the air and this is a good news for iOS users. Devices like iPhone 4S/4, iPad 3/2, iPod touch 4 and the second-gen Apple TV won’t face any problem running this new firmware. iPhone 3Gs, iPod 3G and the latest Apple TV (3rd-gen) looks to be out of luck for now.

Pod2G also has clearly mentioned on his blog that we can “Expect a release in a couple of weeks”. Also he said that there are 16 different devices to test on and therefore this process can take some time. Rest assured, this is going to happen soon. Just wait for a couple of weeks to get hands on iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak.
