“Sources inside the bank tell us Barclays Plc wants to expand outside the UK; possibly to some of the Canadian banks; RBC, PNC, TD, those are banks that are in very good shape. Regulators may prevent them from doing this because they want to preserve capital because of the sovereign debt crisis.”
