Charles M. Royce is President and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Royce & Associates, LLC and President of The Royce Funds, a position he has held since 1972.
Mr. Royce serves as Portfolio Manager of Royce Pennsylvania Mutual Fund, Royce Total Return Fund, Royce Heritage Fund, Royce 100 Fund,Royce Financial Services Fund, Royce European Smaller-Companies Fund, Royce Partners Fund and Royce International-Smaller Companies Fund, as well as two of the firm’s closed-end portfolios, Royce Value Trust and Royce Micro-Cap Trust. He co-manages Royce Premier Fund with Whitney George, Royce Dividend Value Fund with Jay Kaplan and Royce SMid-Cap Value Fund with Steven McBoyle. He is an Assistant Portfolio Manager onRoyce Select Fund I with Lauren Romeo, Royce Select Fund II withJames Harvey and Royce SMid-Cap Select Fund with Steven McBoyle. He has 47 years of investment experience, with 37 years as a smaller-company value portfolio manager.
Prior to 1972, Mr. Royce served as the Director of Research at Scheinman, Hochstin, Trotta, and as a security analyst at Blair & Co. He received a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University.

Charles Royce is portfolio manager at Royce Pennsylvania Mutual Fund (PMF) seeks long-term growth by investing primarily in small-cap and micro-cap companies, those with market capitalizations up to $2.5 billion, using a disciplined value approach. We believe that investors in the Fund should have a long-term investment horizon of at least three years.
The fund has far outperformed the Index(Rusell 2000) in every single short and long term time frame.
