Washington, DC – According to an investigation from The Wall Street Journal, Amazon is reportedly selling thousands of products that are mislabeled, banned, or declared unsafe by federal agencies.

NCOSE On Amazon's Sexually Exploitive Products

The National Center on Sexual Exploitation has also done an investigation into Amazon and found that the company is also selling sexually exploitive products.

“Amazon has shirked its responsibility to remain accountable for the third-party products solds on its website—even when those products are sexually exploitive. Items for sale on Amazon include child-like sex dolls, photography books with eroticized child nudity, books like Pimpology that serve as instruction manuals for sex trafficking, pornographic magazines, and more. Further, their Kindle e-reader is riddled with sexually explicit content containing incest, babysitter, and group-sex themes,” said Dawn Hawkins, Executive Director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE). “For these reasons, Amazon has been named to NCOSE’s Dirty Dozen List which identifies 12 mainstream contributors to sexual exploitation and abuse.”

“We’re calling on Amazon to remove all of its sexually exploitive products. Anything less, and it’s a clear message that Amazon does not care about its customers or the health of a society already reeling from the consequences of normalized sexual abuse.” Hawkins continued.
