iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max Prices In India, Pakistan And Dubai

Updated on

Apple fans across the world are excited about the newly launched iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. Of course, not everyone will be able to afford these phones, but a small section of the population in almost every country will stand in the queue in front of Apple Stores to get their hands on the latest iPhones. India, Pakistan, and Dubai are not gargantuan markets for Apple, but these countries certainly have a huge fan base. So, let’s take a look at the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max prices in India, Pakistan, and Dubai.

The new iPhone XS and XS Max will be available in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. The relatively cheaper iPhone XR would come in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB versions. Apple doesn’t directly convert the US prices into the local currency to determine the prices of its products in different countries. It takes into account the local taxes and currency fluctuations to determine the price. That’s why last year’s iPhone X was priced at Rs. 89,000 (around $1,350) in India for the base model.

The iPhone XS and XS Max will be out of the reach of most Indian smartphone buyers. Most people won’t even think of buying them. Even though India is one of the world’s largest smartphone markets, most consumers buy phones costing $300 or less. It explains why Apple still sells the older iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, and 6S Plus in the country, even though it has now discontinued these devices in the US.

The most expensive 512GB iPhone XS Max price in India is Rs 1,44,900, roughly the same as the latest 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and the 27-inch iMac Pro.

According to Apple’s UAE website, here’s how much the new iPhones will cost:

There is little clarity on the prices of new iPhones in Pakistan. Apple hasn’t yet revealed the official pricing in Pakistan, but the devices are unlikely to be cheap. Last year’s iPhone X was priced at PKR 132,000 for the 64GB model and PKR 150,000 for the 256GB model. Considering the iPhone XS is a direct successor to the iPhone X, its price should be similar or slightly higher than the iPhone X.

The iPhone XS Max is expected to start between PKR 150,000 and PKR 160,000. According to one website, the cheaper iPhone XR could start at PKR 91,872 in the country.

The iPhone XS and XS Max feature 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch Super Retina OLED screens, respectively. They will be available in Space Gray, Gold, and Silver colors. Both of them sport a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens on the back. And they both have a 7MP front-facing camera. In contrast, the iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display and has only a single camera on the back, though it is capable of taking portrait photos using machine learning.

Both the OLED iPhones get an IP68 rating for water- and dust-resistance while the iPhone XR gets an IP67 rating. They also support Qi wireless charging, thanks to the rear glass panel. All of them run the A12 Bionic chipset, which is based on the 7nm manufacturing process. The Face ID technology on the new iPhones has become faster than before.
