Fortnite has an addictive formula that keeps gamers coming back for more, but the release of a new Fortnite weapon can always shake things up. The latest legendary weapon is a Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle, and it’s one of the most interesting additions yet.

Epic has now revealed that the Thermal Scoped Assault rifle will be the first thermal Fortnite weapon.
Thermal weapons are far from a new phenomenon in the shooter genre. As guns that allow players to track heat signatures of enemies, they make it easier to keep track of fleeing opponents or to protect yourself with higher situational awareness.
Because Fortnite is based around survival, the addition of the Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle may make some major changes to the way the game plays out. It’s going to be far more difficult to hide from players who have access to this new Fortnite weapon, which may give those who are lucky enough to find one the upper hand in this fight for Battle Royale dominance.

New weapons are always an exciting adjustment, but if you’d like to keep players on a level playing field, it’s important to carefully consider any new additions to the game.
As far as when exactly we’ll see the Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle implemented, many are thinking it may hit servers after the reset this Thursday. There has been no official announcement of the release date, however, so it’s possible that the wait could be a little longer. Once players get their hands on the new Fortnite weapon and can test it out in action, we’ll start to get a better sense of whether this is a positive addition or a game-breaking issue.
