OnePlus 6 Mirror Black Finish, Pricing Appears On Amazon Germany

Updated on

OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 6 on Wednesday, May 16 in London. The Chinese company has already confirmed tons of details about its upcoming flagship, but leaks and rumors continue to emerge ahead of the official unveiling. Past leaks and renders have left little to the imagination. Now WinFuture has spotted a OnePlus 6 Mirror Black color listing on Amazon Germany. The listing, which has since been taken down, also revealed the phone’s pricing and design details.

WinFuture has shared images of the OnePlus 6 Mirror Black color variant taken from the Amazon Germany listing. The pictures show the device from every angle, just like other product listings on Amazon. The handset looks sleek and beautiful in these photos. The phone will have a glass back supported by a metal chassis. WinFuture says there will also be a Midnight Black model besides the OnePlus 6 Mirror Black variant.

The Amazon Germany listing revealed that the phone would go on sale from May 22. How will the OnePlus 6 Mirror Black color differ from the Midnight Black model? The Mirror Black model will have a reflective mirror finished frame while the Midnight Black option appears to have a matte black finished frame. It’s unclear whether the Midnight Black model would have a glass or aluminum back panel.

The listing also confirmed the new button layout, where the Alert Slider and the power button are placed on the right side while the SIM tray and volume rockers are on the left. The OnePlus 6 dons a 6.3-inch bezel-less AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. There is a cutout at the top, no bezels on the sides, and a thin bottom chin. OnePlus has worked hard to offer the maximum screen real estate by reducing bezels.

The front glass appears to be a 2.5D unit. Both the front and rear glass panels are protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5, according to the listing. The front panel has a notch to accommodate the selfie camera, ear speaker, and other sensors. But people who don’t like the cutout will be able to hide it via software. On the back, you can see a vertically-aligned dual camera system, the LED flash, and the pill-shaped fingerprint sensor. The phone is said to have a combination of 16MP+20MP lenses on the back and a 16MP sensor on the front.

The OnePlus 6 retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is placed alongside the USB Type-C port. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has told fans that the top-end OnePlus 6 would offer 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset. There will also be a 6GB RAM option and 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The listing also shows that it will be water-resistant, but doesn’t specify whether it will have an IP67 or IP68 certification.

OnePlus 6 also recently appeared on the Chinese certification site TENAA. The certification listing confirmed that the device would pack a 3,300mAh battery. OnePlus India brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan recently shared a picture of the white and black color variants of OnePlus 6. The phone is also said to be available in a new shade of blue.

According to the Amazon Germany listing, the OnePlus 6 will cost €519 ($620) for the 64GB storage variant and €569 ($680) for the 128GB model. There is no word on the pricing of the top-end 8GB RAM/256GB storage model, which would be even more expensive. The 64GB OnePlus 5T was priced at €499 in European markets. It indicates that the Chinese company will bump up the prices this year.

If the prices seem too high for you, OnePlus is trying to make the device a bit affordable for its existing customers. The company has launched a trade-in program in the UK and Europe to make it easier for you to upgrade. The maximum trade-in discount is €280 depending on the model and the phone’s condition. The OnePlus 5T that launched late last year is not eligible for trade-in.

There are two options to avail the trade-in deal. You’ll have to send your old device to the company, and it will give you a voucher worth €280 within two weeks. You can use the voucher to buy the OnePlus 6. Another way is to buy the OnePlus 6 at full price from the company’s website, transfer data from your old device to the new one, and then trade-in the old one here using the order ID. You should receive a cashback of up to €280 within a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, OnePlus India and Amazon India are running a “Fast AF” sale (where AF stands for And First) between May 13 and May 16. You can pay Rs 1,000 to buy a OnePlus 6 Amazon.in e-Gift card, which can be used to buy OnePlus 6 on May 21 and 22. Upon purchasing the phone, you’ll receive a Rs 1,000 cashback as Amazon Pay balance. In short, you’ll get a value of Rs. 2,000 by purchasing the Rs. 1,000 e-Gift card.
