Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 Accidentally Confirmed By Samsung

Updated on

The existence of a Samsung gadget bearing the model number SM-J250F/DS is believed to be the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro 2018, and it was accidentally confirmed this week by the company’s South Africa division, which created a support page for the device. However, it has yet to be launched. Although the site doesn’t offer lots of information about the upcoming device, it does indeed confirm that the phone will have a dual-SIM variation set to be sold in select countries.

Samsung Galaxy 2018 models

It is amazing to state that the J2 2018 Pro is already included on the official firm’s website. Normally, this simply means that its introduction is inevitable. However, the Galaxy J 2017 model was just announced in May.

Itt seems like things are unfolding well in Samsung’s world. For now, not one of the 2018 series seems to be behind schedule. Expected models include the Galaxy S9, the Galaxy S9+, and the rumored Galaxy S9 Mini, which is expected in February 2018, more than a month earlier than the launch of the Galaxy S8 models this year. Samsung’s first foldable screen device, the Samsung Galaxy X, is expected in the first quarter of 2018.

Galaxy A7 2018 confirmed also

The inadvertent confirmation of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 came hours after one of the firm’s departments confirmed the existence of the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 in a similar manner. While some units of the firm have a habit of prematurely developing support pages for devices that are yet to be launched, the influx of such info in recent times isn’t an everyday incidence.

The gadget itself is likely to be launched by early 2018, probably even before the end of this year, and it should at least find its way to European markets and select Asian markets about the same time. It is even likely that it will hit the U.S., although Samsung usually releases a different version in the U.S. market with different specs.

Expected features of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro 2018

Specs for an international model of the gadget were also discovered via benchmarking tool Geekbench. According to that listing, the J2 Pro 2018 will likely run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 SoC and feature 1.5GB to 2GB of RAM, probably coupled with 32GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot.

The smartphone was benchmarked running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Being an entry-level series, there are no hints that the device will ever be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo. The octa-core SoC running the gadget is believed to have a max operating frequency of 1.4GHz, which is the ordinary peak clock speed of Qualcomm’s chip.

Of course right now, all we have are rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro 2018, as Samsung has only confirmed its existence and not these specs.
