In a bizarre turn of events this week, news has surfaced that a girl was kicked out of college after a video emerged showing her stripping naked to try and win an iPhone X. This just goes to show the lengths people will go to get their hands on the new handset, which has received universal acclaim and been cited as the future of the smartphone market.

Though the handset wasn’t released without issues, Apple have been praised for their innovation, especially after becoming the pioneers of facial recognition technology in the smartphone market. The iPhone X uses Face ID as an unlocking method, to the delight of tech enthusiasts around the world who marvel at this remarkable feature.
Hysteria was at an all time high for the handset, and when news emerged that Apple potentially had limited stock, fans queued up across the globe hoping to get their hands on the new product. The level of desperation witnessed is testament to the quality of the iPhone X, and the power of Apple’s promotional campaigns. Consumers are willing to do anything to get their hands on the phone, and the lady who stripped off to win iPhone X exemplifies this notion.
Though being kicked out of college for trying to win an iPhone X is harsh punishment, it is a warning to those who are open to engaging in wild acts on camera, yet think there probably won’t be any consequences. The 19-year old student took her clothes off in a nightclub in Russia to win iPhone X, and after failing to win the prize, she was instead awarded with her own mobile which had been taken from her bag!
The poor girl was duped into stripping off under false pretences, with jeering crowds and a thirsty MC encouraging nudity that led to her being expelled from school. When the footage reached authorities at Pedagogical College, where Yevgenya studies, they acted rashly by removing her, which is unfortunate considering she was studying to become a teacher, and has since gone into hiding due to embarrassment.
In the young ladies defense, the host encouraged Yevgenya to remove her clothes to win iPhone X, as he jeered and offered to cover her up so no one else could see. Yevgenya’s mother was available for comment and said she is concerned, but if you ask me the story is much ado about nothing.
It is severe to be removed from college, be shamed, and face widespread media coverage for stripping off, and you have to wonder if a guy did the same thing would he face the same consequences?
