While I was conducting research for the Tsunami Wave Strategy (here), I’ve come across anomalies in Amazon’s financial statements – pics below – for Amazon’s reported 2005 total current liabilities. This is what auditors refer to as a material misstatement, something they should have picked up! While I suspect it is just a ‘attention to detail’ mistake and not intentional. I suspect there are more of these errors in early years.
