Take A Look At This Nokia 9 Concept That Emerged

Updated on

Nokia is reportedly working on the Nokia 9, which is expected to be its next flagship smartphone. Now this new Nokia 9 concept has flooded the web.

One of the most prolific smartphone concept designers, known as Concept Creator, has brought out a smartphone they refer to as the Nokia 9 Edge. This Nokia 9 concept resembles the Galaxy Note 8, except that it is more powerful than Samsung’s newest Note. Here’s how Concept Creator imagines the upcoming Nokia 9.

The video revealing the Nokia 9 concept suggests a smartphone with a near-bezel-less screen. The phone also features soft corners and a curved display. However, this Nokia 9 concept is thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The featured smartphone also boasts a built-in projector and 8GB of RAM.

The Nokia 9 concept equips all the new features, which include a 16MP + 16MP dual-lens camera on the rear. The two sensors are positioned vertically just above a dual-tone flash system. Another useful feature is the LED and infrared projector, which mirrors the contents that appear on the phone’s screen. Nevertheless, despite the smartphone’s rumored design, the concept doesn’t show an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Instead, the fingerprint sensor is tucked onto the rear of the smartphone between its projector and Nokia’s logo.

Concept Creator featured two options. While they look identical, they feature two different RAM and storage configurations. The base model boasts 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the other model features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The creator of this Nokia 9 concept says that the design is based on the rumors that have flooded the web recently. However, that doesn’t seem to be entirely true.

It is expected that the HMD Global is indeed making an Android smartphone with thinner bezels called the Nokia 9. The smartphone is also expected to sport a curved screen. Still, it isn’t expected to look like this Nokia 9 concept. The smartphone is instead believed to look like a revamped Nokia 8, but with more powerful features. As you may know, the Nokia 8 doesn’t feature a bezel-less design or keep up with the latest trends in smartphones.

Instead, it is believed that the Nokia 9 will be a redesigned Nokia 8 with a bezel-less design and some additional features that the Nokia 8 doesn’t have. For example, we have a similar situation in which HTC released the U11 Plus, which is a re-designed version of the HTC U11, but with a more modern and innovative approach.

Nevertheless, the Nokia 9 concept above looks gorgeous.

Nokia 9: price and release date

The recent rumors suggest that the Nokia 9 will carry a heftier price tag, probably around $699 for the option with the smallest storage. The rumors still remain unconfirmed, although the odds of the Nokia 9 being more expensive than the Nokia 8 are high.

It is expected that the smartphone will be released toward the end of the year. The smartphone is likely going to ship with Android Nougat out of the box, although there are chances that the Nokia 9 is going to ship with Android 8.0 Oreo.
