Updated on

Police are searching for a gunman who was reportedly seen entering a nursery in Liverpool. It happened at around 8 a.m. local time in the Merseyside County metropolitan area. The Liverpool gunman reportedly entered Childs Play Nursery on Healthfield Road in the city’s Wavertree community.

Police are emphasizing that there is no sign that any guns were fired in the nursery, and no one was injured. According to STV and The Independent, the Liverpool gunman reportedly entered the nursery and approached a man who works there providing childcare for children between the ages of three months and five years. He then left with another man on a motorbike a short time later.

Police are at the nursery reassuring parents and children of their safety. Officers are also going from house to house in the neighborhood making inquiries about the man and have increased their high visibility patrols in the area. Detective Chief Inspector John Webster told The Independent that their investigation is in the early stages. They believe the two men who fled on the motorbike were seeking a man who happened to be in the nursery at the time but isn’t a staff member.
