The 3rd of March is the date gamers have been waiting for in eager anticipation, and for good reason. It’s the day Nintendo new console – ‘Switch’ will be released along with exclusive games. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been referred to as a possible “system seller” and although it is also being released on the Nintendo Wii U console at the same time they are hoping to shift millions of Switch consoles with gamers clamouring to play the ‘ultimate’ version of the game.

Since the release of the first game, The Zelda franchise has sold over 75 million units worldwide making it one of the bestselling game series to date. The fact that the Breath of the Wild has introduced voice acting for the first time in the Zelda series has gamers everywhere overwhelmed with curiosity and hopefully their expectations of the characters voices will be satisfied.

Other Nintendo Switch launch titles include: 1-2-Switch, Just Dance 2017, Skylanders Imaginators and Super Bomberman R. Nintendo have set up stalls in unexpected locations in the US to give gamers an exclusive experience. They spent a day in Santa Clarita and Aspen, Colorado and will also be in New York  on launch day.

Nintendo has confirmed the Switch console will initially retail at $299.99 in the USA. In the UK it will sell for £279.99 were the biggest fans already have theirs pre-ordered. A figure of around €319 will be the price for the majority of countries in the European market.
