48-Hour Flash Sale On BlackBerry Passport Is Back

Updated on

BlackBerry fans cleared the stock of the Passport Silver Editions from ShopBlackBerry the last time the company hosted a 48-hour flash sale. Not even a single smartphone was left at that time. However, if you missed that time and want to get your hands on the Passport, we have good news for you: the 48-hour flash sale is back.

48-hour flash sale

In the flash sale, the BlackBerry Passport is priced at $229, which is a 34% discount or $120 off the regular price of $349. On ShopBlackBerry Canada, its price is $304, while in the U.K., consumers can buy the phone for just £220, including VAT.

The product on sale is the unlocked Passport GSM model, which will not work with U.S. Cellular, Sprint and Verizon. The Passport Silver Edition, which was sold-out in the last flash sale, is not available from the manufacturer anymore, notes Phone Arena.

The BlackBerry Passport is a different kind of smartphone in many ways. It provides several advantages as a business device, including the QWERTY keyboard and the wide screen.

“It is designed for a better web browsing, reading, apps, editing and maps experience,” the company says.

The handset won the reddot award for the best innovative design in 2015.

“Don’t limit yourself to the narrow world of today’s phones. Work wide with the BlackBerry Passport,” the Canadian firm says.

BlackBerry Passport is worth it for the money

The BlackBerry Passport comes with a 4.5-inch LCD display that features a 1440 x 1440 resolution. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 801 SoC with Adreno 330 GPU and a quad-core 2.2GHz CPU. In addition, the device has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage with support for a 128 GB microSD.

On the back, there is a 13MP camera with OIS and 1080p HD video recording, whereas the device has a 2MP front-facing camera. The handset has a 3,450mAh battery, which the Canadian firm claims can last 30 hours. The device comes with BlackBerry 10.3 pre-installed.

The handset also comes with one of the most amazing BlackBerry keyboards. This keyboard works in conjunction with the display to type punctuation and numbers. The QWERTY keypad doubles as a touch pad as well. The smartphone supports Android apps and games from Amazon’s Appstore.

BlackBerry has already informed buyers that stock is limited, so those who want to buy the device and take advantage of this flash sale will not want to wait.
