The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are now available to pre-order in the U.K. So in this article, I am going to tell you about the best SIM-free prices and also all the different places and ways you can pre-order yourself a shiny new iPhone.
If the idea of choosing between one of Apple’s two new handsets has you feeling like Christmas has come early, don’t fret. Everything you need to know about the iPhone 7 is available right here on this site. However, if you feel you’ve already decided on the variant for you and you’re ready to spend some hard-earned cash, carry on reading.
There are five colors to choose from: Jet Black, Black, Rose Gold, Gold, and Silver. Sorry, there’s no Space Gray. You need to take into account the color of your chosen iPhone because the Jet Black variant is only available in 128GB and 256GB storage options.
iPhone 7 deals
In the U.K., two networks have some great offers available for the iPhone 7. These carriers are Three and BT-Mobile. Once the handset is available, you can get yourself the Black variant on Three with 32GB of Storage for £44 a month and £99 upfront. For this price, you get unlimited texts, unlimited minutes, and 30GB of 4G data.
The BT-Mobile offer will also be available when the handset becomes available on September 16. The deal includes a Rose Gold iPhone 7 with an upfront cost of £30 and then £59 a month. For this price, you will get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 15GB of 4G data.
Both the above offers are on 24-month contracts, meaning you will have to pay the monthly fee for two years.
iPhone 7 Plus deals
The larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus will set you back a lot more than its smaller sibling. Again, I am going to tell you about two deals. However, they are both on the Three network.
The first deal is for the 32GB Gold variant of the iPhone 7 Plus. You need to pay an upfront cost of £99 and then a monthly cost of £60. For this price, you get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, and unlimited 4G data.
As I mentioned earlier, this second deal is also with Three, and again you would need to pay the upfront cost of £99, plus the monthly charge of £60. This deal comes with a 32GB Black iPhone 7 Plus, and you will get unlimited minutes, texts and data.
If you sign up to these deals, you will be locking yourself into a contract for 24 months/ two years with Three.
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus SIM-free prices
If you’re in the U.K. or the U.S., here’s a SIM-free price breakdown for both handsets.
The 32GB iPhone 7 costs £599/$649, and the 128GB model costs £699/$749, while the 256GB model will set you back £799/$849. The 32GB iPhone 7 Plus will cost £719/$769, and the 128GB costs £819/$869, while the 256GB model will set you back £919/$969.
Get the 7 or 7 Plus direct from Apple
If going to a third party to get your iPhone doesn’t seem like the right thing to do, you can of course go to Apple and buy one. Apple will sell you an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus on a monthly plan just like anyone else.
However, Apple will sell you a new phone without charging you any interest, and its monthly plan allows you to upgrade every year. Starting at £33 a month with an upfront payment of £49, this monthly plan is called the Apple Upgrade Program. You can find out more about it here.
Where to pre-order the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in the U.K.
I believe every retailer and mobile network will want to be part of the iPhone 7 action. So you should not find it difficult to find a place to pre-order one, but here are a couple places that offer some benefits.
Three: This carrier was quick to announce that it would be selling the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. If you decide to pre-order from Three, it comes with the benefit of being able to take advantage of free roaming in Europe. You can pre-order with Three here.
CarPhone Warehouse: The largest phone retailer in the U.K. opened up pre-orders for the new iPhone on September 9 and expects to have both the 7 and 7 Plus available in store on September 16. It also expects to have all the color variants available to paying monthly customers on that date. You can take a look at what benefits they offer and pre-order here.
