You have probably visited a few sites which offer you Pokemon Go cheats, tricks, hacks, and tips only to be disappointed by the limited number on offer. Here today I have put together the most comprehensive list of every working cheat, hack, trick, and tip there is to help you get the most out of the game.
Start the game by catching a Pikachu
When you begin playing Pokemon Go, the Professor will tell you to catch your first Pokemon; it will most likely be Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander. However, there is a way for you to bypass those three and catch yourself a Pikachu.
To do this, all you have to do is walk away (don’t try and catch anything) until your smartphone vibrates. At that point, you will be prompted to grab one of the three again, but you should now repeat this process five times until Pikachu appears, and you can catch it as your very first Pokemon.
Get free PokeCoins, PokeBalls and Incense
While Niantic is clamping down on and banning players it detects to be cheaters, the popular gaming website Pokemongocheats.io has developed a way it claims is 100% reliable and undetectable by Niantic via the Pokemon Go servers.
Called the Cheats generator, it enables you to get unlimited numbers of PokeBalls, Incense, and PokeCoins. What’s great about this is that it has no country limitations and works on both Android and iOS. Plus, according to the developer, it will also work with non-jailbroken iOS devices too!
Random Pokemon spawn points
This tip uses the fluttering leaf effect, which is something that has continuously frustrated Pokemon Go players since the game was first released. The idea behind this is that you be patient. Don’t just assume that leaf fluttering is a red herring; instead, stay nearby because if you don’t, you could miss out on a random Pokemon spawn point. That means any creatures that do spawn there will not be on your map.
However, don’t base how you play the game entirely on this tip, as you could end up empty-handed. Just supplement your game with it.
Move without moving
According to one U.K. newspaper, some gamers have discovered that placing your phone on top of a turntable or anything else that spins will trick the game into thinking that it is moving. This is a good tip to increase your walking distance and hatch eggs, but I wouldn’t strap your phone to a dog if I were you. A ceiling fan will do.
GPS spoofing
This tip is a little off the rails (crazy), but you would have to be a serious game player even to attempt it. Pokemon Go uses orbiting satellites to work out where on the surface of the planet your phone is.
However, there is a piece of technology called a signal jammer that can be used to send false signals and enable you to transport your Pokemon hunter anywhere in the world without actually being there.
Remember when I said you would have to be a serious player to take part in such a tactic? That’s because using this kind of tech is illegal and could land you in prison, not to mention cause you to be banned from the game for life.
PokeBall thrower
Do you find throwing a PokeBall can sometimes be difficult? Why not make yourself a low-tech prop from paper or cardboard? All you have to is choose some material that is as wide as your mobile phone display and attach it to two sticky notes. Watch the tool in action in the video below.
Change your team
When you pass level 5 in Pokemon Go, the game allows you to choose a team to join. However, when you pick a team, you will see a warning telling you that once this is done, there is no going back.
As with all games, sometimes mistakes are made, and a player may have chosen to join the wrong team. If this is the case, Niantic will consider allowing a team change, but it will only do so if a player’s trainer level is low and no previous requests have been made. If this is you, you should now contact Niantic and follow their instructions.
Drop lures if you don’t want to hunt
If you can’t be bothered going out on the hunt for Pokemon, you can find some by attaching lures to your local supermarket, bar or just about anywhere you think Pokemon could be found. Usually, you will get a new Pokemon spawning inside a lure every 3-5 minutes; plus there’s a chance that you may get a rare Pokemon.
If you want to speed up spawning, leave some Incense. This will make Pokemon appear every minute rather than every five minutes.
Use Skiplagged before it’s gone
Skiplagged.com is a website which gives Pokemon Go players a birds’ eye view of every Pokemon in a specific area. This tool is not bad because when you click on a Pokemon, its name is displayed and you are given directions to its location and told how long it is expected to be there.
PokeNest
PokeNest is a static but regularly-updated app and website which shows users where to find Pokemon Go nests. If you don’t already know, a nest is a place where a large amount of a particular kind of Pokemon are known to appear.
The downside to PokeNest is that its developer is located in Canada and mostly limits information to the Toronto area.
IOSEmus
If you like to take a risk and are prepared to be banned by Niantic, IOSEmus is a “tweaked” Pokemon Go app that has every hack and map scanner feature that has ever been released for the game. You can find out more about this app here.
