Walmart Offers Mouthwatering Deal On Galaxy S7, S7 Edge

Updated on

If you haven’t already purchased Samsung’s Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, or want to buy last year’s Galaxy S6, this might be a good time to head over to a Walmart store. Starting this Friday, the brick-and-mortar retailer will offer mouthwatering deals not only on the Galaxy devices but also Apple’s iPhone 6, 6S, 6S Plus, and iPhone SE as part of its installment plan promotion, reports CNN Money.

Get discount as credit on your monthly invoices

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have recorded robust sales around the world. Analysts estimate that the new phones boosted Samsung’s first quarter profits to $5.2 billion. Walmart will offer $150 discount on the price of Galaxy devices including last year’s Galaxy S6. The three-month promotional program would run through June. The retailer will be offering the iPhone SE at $299, which is $100 less than the standard price of $399 for 16GB version. Customers can also save $100 on all other iPhone models.

Customers will see the discounts as credit on their monthly invoices. CNN Money noted that not every Walmart store will carry the same models. The offer is not valid for online purchases. Buyers can sign up on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. T-Mobile users won’t be able to take advantage of the promotion. Samsung has brought back water-resistance and expandable storage with its new Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones.

Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S7 facing slo-mo video issues

The Galaxy S7 features a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, 4GB RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera, 5MP front snapper, and a huge 3,000mAh battery. The phone is powered by Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 processor depending on the region it is sold. Many customers have reported that the Snapdragon version of Galaxy S7 was facing issues with slow-motion video recording. When played back, the video stutters and skips, reported users.

Apple’s new iPhone SE looks nearly identical to the iPhone 5S, but packs the innards of the iPhone 6S except the 3D Touch. It comes with A9 processor, 12MP main camera with Live Photos, Apple Pay support, and 4K video capabilities. Walmart’s promotion brings down its price to just $299, making it a lucrative option for those who want a new iPhone without spending half a grand.
