Netflix, Inc. Updates Kids Section With A Brighter Experience

Updated on

Netflix has a vast library of shows and movies catering to the interests of people of all age groups, including children. However, the default experience is not good, and if a subscriber tries signing into the kids section, the case remains the same. But all this has changed with the new update.

Kids section gets an update

Kids could enjoy flipping through the pictures of their favorite shows, but all this was taking place against a dark black and red backdrop. Now Netflix Kids has become a lot brighter with the latest release, says a report from Android Police.

The interface that used to be poorly lit has been replaced with an airy one. There are circular icons containing an array of recognizable characters. Also there are colorful banner images above the rows of thumbnails for individual shows against a white background.

Presently, these changes have been incorporated for tablet users, but there is a minor mention of other form factors in the changelog as well, the report says. Casting to Android TV and Fire TV devices could improve with the release.

Luke Cage on Netflix soon

People have been anxiously waiting for Netflix to release more Marvel shows, and now they have a confirmed date. Lead actor Michael Colter revealed that Luke Cage Netflix release will be released on Sept. 30, about half a year after the release of Daredevil’s second season.

Colter did not reveal much about the new show, but the basic premise is not a secret anymore. Following Jessica Jones’ story, Cage moves to Harlem where he faces enemies ranging from Black Mariah to Cottonmouth. Whether Luke Cage will be a hit or not cannot be said with certainty, but by looking at the effort that has been put into the first two Netflix-only Marvel shows, we can be sure that the show is in good hands.

Marvel will have one of its busiest years going forward. Daredevil’s second season is set to premiere on March 18, while Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters on May 6 and Doctor Strange will come out in November New seasons of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones may come out before the end of the year.
