Wells Fargo agrees to pay $1.2 billion in faulty mortgage lawsuit [CHARTS]

Wells Fargo announced on Wednesday that the company agreed to pay $1.2 billion in a faulty mortgage lawsuit settlement with the US government. The lawsuit originated in 2012 when the US accused Wells Fargo of reckless lending practices. The two entities have been in settlement talks for more than three years. Shares of Wells Fargo were down more than 3% during trading hours Wednesday.
