With Samsung trying to steal the show, few were expecting LG G5 to garner much attention. LG G5’s modular design wows critics
In contrast, every aspect of the G5 echoes innovation. Despite a plethora of leaks and rumors ahead of the unveiling, the device brings unique features that few had expected. With an aluminum chassis and minimal design, LG has produced a brilliant device befitting of a flagship phone. LG seems to have understood that you can’t pack every possible feature in a sleek smartphone.

The LG G5 comes with a modular design for add-on camera, battery and other features. It has a slide-out battery that lets you swap the battery within seconds. The Verge says even if LG’s Friends accessories do not do well, their augmentation has allowed the company to build a revolutionary phone.
LG introduces camera and audio player modules
Third-party plugins hold massive potential for LG. The company has introduced a camera module called CAM Plus that you can attach to convert the G5 into a digital camera. The CAM Plus sports physical buttons for power, record, shutter, zoom, and LED indicator. It also provides an additional battery capacity of 1,200mAh. And then there is the Hi-Fi audio player module that LG developed with Bang & Olufsen. It is for those who want to enjoy top-quality audio.
The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch Quad HD display, runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM, 32GB of built-in storage. The phone has a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 16MP camera and a wide-angle 8MP camera. The front snapper is 8-megapixel. The always-on display consumes only 0.8% of the battery’s full capacity to operate. The G5 packs a 2,800mAh battery. It will be available in titan, gold, silver, and pink color options.
