Is This The New LG G5 In The Flesh? [PHOTO]

According to reports the new LG G5 smartphone is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress 2016.

In the lead up to the event we are beginning to see a number of new leaks of products that are set to make their debuts at MWC 2016. This latest leak involves the LG G5, which has been found for sale on a Dubai commerce website, writes Rich Edmonds for Android Central.

Has someone got their hands on an LG G5 handset?

If you believe the listing, one fortunate soul has somehow managed to get hold of the as yet unannounced smartphone. The model reportedly comes from the United States, and the owner is trying to sell it online.

As with any leaked images, it is almost impossible to say whether they are legitimate, but certain signs do point to the fact that the handset in question could be the new LG G5. For example the dual-camera setup and fingerprint sensor match up with previous leaks of the new handset.

Whoever it is who managed to allegedly import the handset from the U.S. to Dubai is asking for 2,500 dirhams, which is equivalent to around $680. The listing claims that the handset comes with a valid IMEI and has all of its original packaging. You won’t be surprised to hear that it is reportedly in “brand new” condition, and is described as “perfect inside and out.”

Images suggest that handset could be the real deal

In addition to the dual-camera and fingerprint sensor, it looks as though the handset has a metal body, which the LG G5 is expected to have. Furthermore the handset looks like it has a side-positioned volume rocker, which was also revealed in a leak back in January.

Other rumors have claimed that the G5 will feature a second screen on the front, as the LG V10 did. However the images provided in the listing do not allow us to verify these claims. Compared to previous leaks, these latest images certainly appear to be more trustworthy.

However it is important to take anything you find on the internet with a pinch of salt. Plus it’s not long until we find out more details from LG itself. Mobile World Congress 2016 starts February 22 in Barcelona, Spain.
