Wal-Mart shares were down more than 2% this morning after it announced plans to close 269 stores worldwide. Among the stores being shut down are all 102 “Express” type stores, Wal-Mart’s smallest stores. The move represents a shift of focus towards developing super-centers and e-commerce.
