Aswath Damodaran – Lyft on or Lyft off? The Other Ride Sharing Companies

This is the second of a three-part series. In the first, I looked at Uber, the dominant ride sharing company and a magnet for publicity. In this one, I value Lyft, a company that has a adopted a very different strategy than Uber, narrow in its market focus, rather than broad, and understated in its ambitions. I also expand the analysis to examine how ride sharing companies are being priced (rather than valued) by investors. I close with my thoughts on whether, as an investor, I would invest in Lyft or Uber.
