Chicago, Illinois – The Illinois Herbalife Campaign will hold a press conference on Wednesday, July 29th, to urge passage of a resolution introduced by Chicago Alderman George A. Cardenas (12th Ward) that calls on Attorney General Lisa Madigan to conclude an investigation of multi-level marketing nutritional supplement company Herbalife for operating a get-rich-quick pyramid scheme that targets Latino consumers.
Illinois Herbalife Campaign Urges AG to shut down this scam
For more than 15 months, the AG has been investigating Herbalife and its distributors, who profit by duping unsuspecting recruits with false promises of financial freedom and good health. Nearly 120 victims in Illinois have filed complaints with the AG describing an ongoing scheme that continues to target the Latino community. The Illinois Herbalife Campaign, a coalition of community groups, former Herbalife distributors and business leaders applaud Alderman Cardenas and his colleagues for urging the Attorney General to shut down this scam.
