OnePlus One (OPO) Now Available For $249 Permanently

Updated on

OnePlus One has remained in the news recently because of its special flash promotion sale, whereby the company offered its smartphone for just $250 for the 16GB model or $300 for the 64GB version. The smartphone, which was started with an invite-only model, has remained successful even after opening its sales for everyone, mostly because of its good technical specs and attractive pricing.

OnePlus One price drop

Now the good news is that if you missed the flash sale, then you can still get the phone at the same price because that sale price is now permanent. OnePlus One, in a blog post, says, “Over the past year, we’ve been able to increase our component orders with suppliers, and scale to a much more efficient level of operation. This has brought everything from the cost of components, engineering and assembly down, and in turn, the cost of the One.”

Also OnePlus Two is right around the corner, but is this price cut aimed at clearing the stock of the OnePlus One and making way for the OnePlus Two? We’ll need to wait to see how impressive the OnePlus Two is. Right now this so-called “flagship killer” from OnePlus has also gotten some competition like the Asus ZenFone 2 and several others.

Apart from the price drop news, OnePlus has also gotten a new deal. Apart from getting a 16GB model for $250 and a 64GB model for $300, a new bundle is available which will cost $350 for a 64GB model with an entire year of Dropbox Pro. Dropbox Pro will offer 1TB of space with files stored in 256-bit AES and SSL encrypted with two-step verification, image backups, secure sharing and more. Dropbox Pro is normally available for $99 per year, which means a savings of $50. This offer is available only in the U.S., Canada and the EU.
