TaiG’s journey

When Apple released its iOS 8 – 8.1, it was jailbroken by the Pangu team, which helped many users get their Cydia tweaks. But then when iOS 8.1.1 came, Apple fixed the exploit, and thus brought an end to the Pangu jailbreak. Even though Apple is usually busy in releasing new gadgets or the next version of its OS, like OS X Yosemite, the company does somehow get enough time to fix iOS jailbreak exploits, but thankfully, one or the other developer team comes to the rescue. This time, the TaiG team is the savior of jailbreak users.

This team released the iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak supporting all devices which were not supported by Pangu. But then Apple dropped the iOS 8.1.2, but fortunately the company didn’t fixed the exploit that was used by TaiG in 8.1.1 jailbreak. The TaiG team captured this opportunity and quickly updated its tool to support iOS 8.1.2.

This tool is currently only supported on Windows and is capable jailbreaking iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.1.2. If you’re on a Mac, then you can run Windows on OS X using virtual machine and then jailbreak your iOS device.
