Street Fighter 5 leaked

The screenshots of the video show it is legitimate but there isn’t a lot more information beyond that. Where the teaser came from is also relatively unknown, although it is speculated it came from The Game Awards (set to take place early tomorrow morning) or the Playstation 4 event (set to take place later this weekend in Las Vegas). The game’s franchise producer Yoshinori Ono is currently at the Playstation event in Las Vegas. His prior comments suggested the game is still in the early stages of development and that it won’t use a pay-to-win model as rumors suggested. He explained, “The SFV news today about a pay-to-win model is not accurate and isn’t something we’re planning for. Sorry for the confusion!”

A look back at the last Street Fighter game

The last game in the franchise was Street Fighter 4 which was released in 2009 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The game franchise actually started as an arcade game. This particular game included a roster of playable characters from the original version and four new characters.

This Street Fighter 4 game plot takes place several months after the chronological events of Street Fighter 2 and 3. In the game, M. Bison survived his encounter with Akuma. Then the S.I.N corporation starts battling another tournament as a way to draw out the most powerful fighters for the BLECE project. Each individual characater has their own reasons to enter the tournament, however S.I.N’s real desire is to lead Ryu to them so they can analyze Satsu no Hado which is the last piece of data to complete BLECE.
