Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s new mobile operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop, has been announced, and the OS features the most drastic changes when compared with the older versions of Android. Most importantly, it features a redesigned user interface known as Material Design. Now, as always, whenever a new OS is released, developers and enthusiasts will extract certain elements like wallpapers, sounds and such and make it available for other devices. This time we’re talking about official wallpapers for Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Android 5.0 Lollipop wallpapers
These new Lollipop wallpapers carry the same Material Design taste that Google so proudly boasts of. These are much like flat designs, and some might argue about whether they really look good or bad compared to those that come with KitKat or even Ice Cream Sandwich. So while Jelly Bean had a wallpaper of jelly beans, but like KitKat, Lollipop does not have a wallpaper of any delicious lollipop.
Thanks to the XDA Developer forums, you can now get your hands on the official Android 5.0 wallpapers for just about any device out there. Since these wallpapers are extracted from preview images, their resolution is not standard. Still, these wallpapers will perfectly fill up the screen space on any device.
Currently there’s no word on when we can expect the Lollipop update on existing devices, but one thing’s for sure. Nexus devices will be getting the update first, and then devices made by other companies like Samsung, Motorola, Sony, LG and HTC will receive the update (within a few months though).
So if you don’t want to wait for the update, then go ahead and download the Android 5.0 Lollipop wallpapers from here.
