Updated on

NetJets CEO Jordan Hansell spoke with FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Sandra Smith about the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) granting approval to NetJets. Hansell said, “We couldn’t be more excited about it” and “we think it’s a terrific market for us going forward given the economic power, the size of the country, the population, the number of wealthy individuals.”

NetJets CEO on getting clearance from the CAAC to operate NetJets in China:

“We just got clearance from the CAAC, the government authority in China being operated there. We couldn’t be more excited about it…we think it’s a terrific market for us going forward given the economic power, the size of the country, the population, the number of wealthy individuals.”

NetJets CEO on whether he’s bullish on China:

“I think your last point is exactly right. It’s a question of timing, so we take the long-term view of what China will be in our estimation. We think it could be like the United States over the longer period.”

NetJets CEO on working with the Chinese government:

“They’ve been great for us, we’re the first international company to have this approval to operate in Mainland China that we’re aware of and they’ve been very good to work with from our perspective.”

NetJets CEO on whether China opening their doors to NetJets means a large profit:

“We think it’s exciting, if I can tell you that I think I would be doing something else like moving to the track and predicting the future. We think it will be good. I can’t say for sure how good it will be and I think the question you say is timing.”
