iPhone 6 vs. Every Other iPhone Ever Made [VIDEO]

Updated on

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are the best iPhones ever made. The two new smartphones that came out of Cupertino last week have shattered all the sales records in the first weekend. Apple revealed Monday that it delivered more than ten million units of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the first three days of launch.

iPhone 6 vs. all its predecessors

The two new iPhones are hands down the fastest, biggest and best iPhones ever made. Many people want to know how they stack up against their predecessors. YouTube channel EverythingApplePro has released a video comparing the speed of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus with every iPhone ever made. They took all the iPhone models, lined them up and tested them for speed. The comparison features all ten iPhone models including the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6 and 6 Plus.

The video shows several real-world speed tests such as GeekBench benchmark test, starting and shutting down the phone, and webpage loading. This short clip shows how far Apple’s smartphones have come since 2007. The newest iPhone 6 and 6 Plus beat their older siblings on almost every parameter. Separately, GottaBeMobile tested the WiFi speed of the iPhone 6 against the iPhone 5S. And the results were surprising.

Blazing fast WiFi

Apple has mentioned in its promotional materials that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will get blazing fast WiFi. But this feature was almost completely overshadowed by other selling points. GottaBeMobile found that the iPhone 6 WiFi speed is on par with Apple’s claims. On Speedtest.net, the iPhone 6 WiFi download speed was more than two times faster than the iPhone 5S. In fact, it even Mac Pro.

The iPhone 6 had a download speed of 180.97 Mbps compared to 85.34 Mbps for the iPhone 5S. In comparison, Mac Pro delivered download speed of 167.88 Mbps. The upload speed of all three devices was in a similar range with 24.06 Mbps for iPhone 6, 23.87 Mbps for iPhone 5S and 25.91 Mbps for Mac Pro.
