Samsung will take the wraps off its Galaxy Note 4 phablet at a pre-IFA event on September 3. The Korean giant has already sent out invites for its Unpacked Event Episode 2 to media and industry. The Galaxy Note 4 may not be the most anticipated phablet of this year as most consumers look forward to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s 5.5-inch iPhone 6.
Is the Galaxy Note 4 ad taking a dig at the iPhone 6?
Samsung is trying to whet the appetite of its fans by releasing teaser videos. The electronics giant last month teased the powerful Exynos processor and the eye scanner technology in Galaxy Note 4 through Twitter. On Monday, Samsung released a new teaser video showing off the S-Pen stylus. The video highlights the joys of handwriting. Samsung ends the teaser with “Ready to Note?” question and the launch date 09/03/2014.
It’s difficult to say whether the S-Pen teaser has anything to do with the forthcoming 5.5-inch iPhone 6. Apple’s new phablet will compete against the Galaxy Note 4. But the iPhone 6 is unlikely to have a stylus. Steve Jobs literally hated the styluses. But Samsung shows off the stylus as a tool that offers you a unique ability to take handwritten notes on your phone.
Galaxy Note 4 will be a selfie-focused device
The Galaxy Note 4 will be packed with an impressive 5.7-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution, a retina scanner, a premium metal casing, and an ultraviolet sensor. According to AnTuTu benchmarks, the Galaxy Note 4 will have sport the octa-core Exynos 5433 processor. Another variant of the phablet will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 chipset.
It will also have an ultrasonic cover to aid the visually impaired users. The phone is expected to come with 16MP main camera and 3.7MP front camera. Latest reports coming from SamMobile claim that the Galaxy Note 4 will be a selfie-focused device with multiple new features for taking selfies. According to Evleaks, the Galaxy Note 4 will come in four color options: shimmery white, charcoal black, copper gold and electric blue.
